“I administered and interpreted the assessment in a group setting for the first time with Grade 10 students. I appreciate the fact that students can assess not only their interests but also their self-perceived aptitudes in relation to the tasks and professions outlined. This section, which relates to a self-perceived competence, and the one on happiness at work provide me with highly relevant additional information to enrich my one-to-one sessions with students who feel the need for it.
Additionally, the occupational fields bring more details to the interpretation of the Holland code. The lists of occupations accompanying them help students explore specific areas that might interest them more. These occupational fields and lists make students’ results more meaningful and relatable to them.
Following group interpretation, I noticed that students generally recognized themselves well in the test results. Some students were even surprised to see so much of themselves in their profile.
I therefore recommend using this test in schools.”
